Rapid and Production Tooling
LMI is on the cutting edge of technology utilization. These techniques
have allowed our customers to see lead times in tooling drop from a respectable 15-24 weeks to an unheard of 2-3 weeks. Tools can be produced in 1/5 the time of conventional methods using modern machining centers as we strive to be first to use new equipment when it is introduced.
Our capabilities allow us to use production quality aluminum and steel, as
well as rigid and flexible urethanes, epoxy resins, and virtually all injection- molding materials. LMI's prototyping technology provides rapid tooling necessary to fill the gap between the prototype phase and production tooling. Silicon Rubber Molds and QC-7 Aluminum Injection Mold Tooling with short run capabilities from 5 to over 50,000 parts can also be designed and built at LMI. |
